In 2004, Georg Baehler and Stephanie Lu formed Noir Trading, Inc. with a mission to manufacture furniture that deftly balances design and affordability. Over a decade later, Noir has established itself with a hand-crafted line of over 1200 products that is consistent, sustainable, and available.

Noir is proud to be an innovative furniture and lighting company with over ten years creating bold designs that deftly balance style and value. The passion for innovation and keeping up with today’s steadfast pace inspires Noir to introduce new handcrafted pieces every month. There is always something beautiful, new and exciting to talk about. The vast majority of the Noir line is built sustainably and made to last so that the items can be passed on to the next generation. With over 2,000 retail locations, Noir is dedicated to excellent service catering to both brick and mortar as well as interior designers.
THE OLD-FASHIONED WAY
As the Lead Designer, Swiss-born Georg Baehler creates every item for Noir the old-fashioned way: with a pencil and paper. Whether wholly original or classically inspired, every Noir product is meticulously designed to scale by Georg’s hand. Georg’s passionate design regimen is so prolific that Noir’s factories have yet to catch pace with him. His inspiration comes from an amalgam of classic furniture design, the craftsmen that bring his pieces to life, and sustainable local materials that are available to work with. By playfully experimenting with these three elements, Georg creates the singular Noir vision.

Noir has over 85% of the product line in stock. The website is updated twice a day. The website shows In Stock & Available Now, available in approx. 0 – 3 weeks/ 4 – 6 weeks/ 7 – 9 weeks and total quantity in transit which can be up to a 16 week lead time.
Freight & Delivery
Freight: All items are shipped with blanket-wrap carriers (i.e. Cal Metro, Trail Lines, and American West).
White-glove: Items can be shipped White Glove upon request.
*COVID Update: carriers have determined that white glove delivery service may pose a health hazard to drivers. If a delivery location is determined unsafe by a driver, they will complete the delivery by offering threshold or garage delivery. The reduced service includes package removal and disposal, but the rates will remain the same.
